Refund & Cancellation Policy
How billing actually works: EduOrbex subscriptions bought on this website are a one-time charge for the period you choose (1, 6 or 12 months). They do not auto-renew, so there is nothing to cancel — access simply ends on the expiry date unless you buy again. Purchases are made here on the web via Razorpay; the Android app is sign-in only and does not sell subscriptions.
This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") governs refunds and cancellations for subscriptions to EduOrbex ("Service"), operated in India. It applies to payments made via our payment processor Razorpay on this website, which is currently the only way to buy EduOrbex Pro. By subscribing, you agree to these terms.
1. Subscription plans and pricing
EduOrbex currently offers the following subscription plans (launch pricing, valid for the first 10,000 subscribers; prices thereafter may increase):
- Monthly Plan: ₹299 for 1 month
- 6-Month Plan: ₹699 for 6 months
- Annual Plan: ₹999 for 12 months
All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR), inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) as required.
2. Cancellation of subscription
There is nothing to cancel. Every EduOrbex subscription sold today is a one-time charge for a fixed period (1, 6 or 12 months). Nothing recurs, no payment method is stored for future debits, and access simply ends on the expiry date unless you choose to buy again.
If you want to stop using EduOrbex, you can just let the period run out. To delete your account and data entirely, use Delete account.
3. Refund eligibility
3.1 Cooling-off period (first-time subscribers only)
New subscribers are entitled to a full refund if requested within the following windows from the date of first purchase, provided no substantial usage of Pro-only content has occurred (Pro-only content usage is capped at 2 items):
- Monthly Plan: within 7 calendar days of first purchase
- 6-Month Plan: within 10 calendar days of first purchase
- Annual Plan: within 14 calendar days of first purchase
3.2 Service defect refund
If EduOrbex is materially defective (extended outage of more than 72 continuous hours, permanent removal of substantially all content, or repeated payment/billing errors caused by us), you are entitled to a pro-rated refund of the unused portion of your subscription, minus a ₹99 administrative fee for annual plans only.
3.3 Duplicate or erroneous charge
If you have been charged multiple times for the same subscription due to a technical error, all duplicate charges will be refunded in full within 5–7 business days of receiving your request.
4. Non-refundable situations
Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:
- Requests made after the cooling-off period (Section 3.1) has ended;
- Change of mind after substantial usage of Pro-only content;
- Refund requests arising from violation of our Terms of Use (including account sharing, redistribution of content, or attempted circumvention of paywall);
- Chargebacks initiated with your bank without first contacting us — we will contest such chargebacks and provide the payment processor with all supporting evidence;
- Any dissatisfaction with exam results or preparation outcomes — EduOrbex is a study aid, not a guarantee of any examination outcome.
5. How to request a refund
- Email [email protected] with the subject line "Refund request".
- Include in the email:
- Email address associated with your EduOrbex account
- Razorpay Payment ID (from your billing confirmation email)
- Plan purchased (Monthly / 6-Month / Annual)
- Date of purchase
- Reason for the refund request
- We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days.
- If approved, the refund will be initiated within 7 business days of approval.
- The refund will be credited to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of initiation. Actual credit timing depends on your bank or card issuer.
6. Purchases inside the Android app
The EduOrbex Android app does not sell subscriptions. It is sign-in only: you buy on this website, then sign into the app with the same email and Pro unlocks. There is therefore no Google Play Billing purchase to refund. If Google Play ever does sell an EduOrbex subscription in future, Google's own refund policy will apply to it and this section will be updated.
7. Method of refund
Refunds will be credited to the same payment instrument used for the original transaction (UPI, credit card, debit card, netbanking, wallet). We do not offer cash refunds, cheque refunds, or credits to alternate payment methods.
8. Currency
All refunds will be processed in Indian Rupees (INR). Any foreign exchange difference resulting from conversion by your card issuer or bank is beyond our control and is not refundable.
9. No auto-renewal
EduOrbex subscriptions do not auto-renew. You are charged once for the period you choose and never again unless you actively buy another period. We do not store a mandate, standing instruction or saved payment method for future debits, so no renewal can be triggered without you starting it.
If we ever introduce an auto-renewing plan, it will be clearly labelled as such at the point of purchase, with the renewal date and price shown before payment, and this Policy will be updated first.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to active subscribers by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
